    The Lassen County Office of Education invites qualified firms to submit Statements of Qualifications for the opportunity to construct a New Community School to be located in Susanville, California pursuant to the lease/leaseback provision of Education Code Section 17406. The District wishes to retain a developer/constructor team that has the financial strength, management and development expertise to complete this project by November 1, 2009.
    The firm(s) will be selected based on qualifications that include relevant experience with public school construction, experience with the Division of State Architect school construction approval process, and a proven track record in the development and construction of schools utilizing the lease/lease-back provisions of the Education Code Section 17406.
    This request for qualification (“RFQ”) is neither a formal request for bids, nor an offer by the District to contract with any party responding to this RFQ. This RFQ does not commit the District to award a contract or to reimburse any applicant for costs incurred in submitting qualifications. The District, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to interview any, all, or none of the respondents; to negotiate with any respondent; to extend the deadline to submit qualifications; or to amend or cancel in part or in its entirety this RFQ.
