Sheriff addresses proposed gun laws
Sept. 24, 2013 — The state legislature ended its session the second week in September and several proposed gun laws are now sitting on Governor Jerry Brown’s desk.
Lassen County Sheriff Dean Growdon briefly addressed the bills during a Tuesday, Sept. 17 meeting of the Lassen County Board of Supervisors.
“There are a couple laws on the governor’s desk that a lot of our locals are concerned about. Most of them are related to firearms, specifically,” Growdon said. “I’ve had people calling me, approaching me out in public asking me question about it and mostly, there’s a great deal of concern.”
