Authorities looking for man after Chester bank robbery; subject is armed and dangerous

Chester Elementary School and Chester High School are on lock down as the search continues for the robbery suspect.

Local law enforcement is on the lookout for a white or Latino male in his late 30s who is suspected of robbing a Chester bank on Monday morning.
According to Plumas County Assistant Sheriff Gerry Hendrick, the man should be considered armed and dangerous. He was reportedly in possession of a .45 caliber handgun.
At approximately 11:25 a.m., U.S. Bank personnel reported that a man robbed the bank, taking money from the vault.
Hendrick reported the suspect is 6-foot-1, with dark hair and was wearing a flannel shirt and white tennis shoes. He was wearing a surgical mask, sunglasses, blue jeans and a dark shirt.
