Fire season begins with multiple fires around county

June 5, 2007 — The National Weather Service has forecast a chance of thunderstorms throughout the coming weeks for Lassen County, and with more than 20 fires of varying size reportedly caused by lightning strikes, fire season has unofficially begun.
