Paul Bunyan Festival celebrates 20th anniversary

June 26, 2007 — The Paul Bunyan Mountain and Blues Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Although it was organized to commemorate Westwood’s 75th anniversary it was so successful the chamber of commerce made it an annual event.
 

Dyer Mountain development agreement on board agenda today

June 26, 2007 — The development agreement for the Dyer Mountain Four Seasons Resort is complete and the Lassen County Board of Supervisors expects to consider it at its meeting this morning, Tuesday, June 26.
  

Receivership moves Dyer Mountain forward

June 26, 2007 — A new management team at Dyer Mountain Associates is moving forward with the help of a receiver for DMA founder Briar Tazuk’s ownership shares. The team is dealing with lawsuits against DMA for more than $2 million.

June 26, 2007 — The City Council offered a compromise to those wanting to set off safe and sane fireworks on July 4th in the city limits.
  

Boards support joint powers authority to build swimming pool

June 26, 2007 — Five agencies support a joint powers authority to build and operate a swimming pool in Susanville and two of them appointed members to the JPA last week.
