Supervisors hear Motocross noise settlement

Sept. 4, 2007 — Residents from across the community showed up to voice their support of a settlement proposal presented by Larry and Lise Wosick at the regular of the Lassen County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
 

Former Susanville couple arrested for allegedly manufacturing marijuana

A former Susanville couple face five to 40 years in federal prison if convicted of federal drug charges two charges.
Daniel, 54, and Sherry, 59, Machado, current residents of Phillipsville, Calif., were arrested on a federal warrant and charged with allegedly violating Title 21 USC 846 and Title 21 US 841 (a) (1), conspiracy to manufacture more than 100 plants of marijuana and manufacturing more than 100 plants.
  

Moonlight Fire Meeting in Janesville

A fire informational meeting will be held Monday, Sep. 10, at 7 pm. Location will be in the Janesville Elementary School gymnasium.

Westwood Pastor's home catches on fire

Sept. 11, 2007 — Westwood, Hamilton Branch, CAL FIRE and Peninsula Fire districts responded to a structure fire at the home of Jason Franklin, the pastor of the Westwood Bible Fellowship, which caught fire in the attic at “about 12:30 a.m. Friday morning,” said Franklin.
  

Trapper says confirmed mountain lion sighting at Susanville Ranch Park was large

Sept. 11, 2007 — A confirmed mountain lion sighting in north Susanville in January was a large house cat, according to Federal Trapper George Affonso.
