Notice of Objection: Pioneer Invasive Plant Treatment Project
A Final Environmental Assessment (FEA) and a draft Decision Notice/Finding Of No significant Impact (DN/FONSI) for the above project is available for review and opportunity to object. This pre-decisional objection period is intended to provide those interested in or affected by this action an opportunity to make their concerns known prior to a decision being made. The project is located in the southern portion of the ELRD, adjacent to State Highway 36, approximately six miles southwest of Susanville in Lassen County. It includes portions of Township (T) 29 North (N), Range (R) 10 East (E), Sections 11-15, 20-24, 25-29, 31-35, T29N, R11E, Sections 31 and 32, T28N, R10E, Sections 1-4, 9-12, 13-16, 21-23, 26-29, 32, T28N, R11E, Sections 1-6, 7, 10, 11, 18, and T28N, R12E, Sections 4-6, 8-12, and 13-16 of the Mount Diablo Meridian. Copies of the FEA and draft DN/FONSI are available at the Eagle Lake Ranger District or found at http://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=44112. The Responsible Official, Ann Carlson, District Ranger, Eagle Lake Ranger District, intends to select the proposed action, which includes the treatment of invasive plant infestations on up to 80 acres within approximately 26,600 acres of LNF lands annually, using a combination of manual, cultural, and chemical methods.

Opportunity to Object: The Pioneer Invasive Plant treatment project is subject to the pre-decisional objection process pursuant to 36 CFR 218, Subparts A & B. It is not subject to the appeal procedures found at 36 CFR 215. Only those individuals and organizations who previously submitted timely, specific written comments regarding a proposed project or activity during scoping or any other instance where the responsible official solicited written comments, have standing to file an objection (36 CFR 218.5(a)).
Notices of objection must meet the specific content requirements of 36 CFR 218.8. Written objections, including attachments, must be filed (regular mail, fax, e-mail, hand-delivery, express delivery, or messenger service) with the appropriate Reviewing Officer within 45 days (36 CFR 218.26(a)) from the publication date of this notice in the Lassen County Times. CITY OF SUSANVILLE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR SUMBITTAL OF STATE CDBG APPLICATION
Notice is hereby given that the City of Susanville will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, March 18th, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. in order to discuss possible applications for funding under the next fiscal year's (July 1 to June 30) State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and to solicit citizen input on possible activities to be included in the application.
The Community Development and Economic Development Allocations of the State CDBG program published a combined "Notice of Funding Availability" (NOFA) on January 5, 2015. Eligible cities and counties may submit an application for CDBG funds under the NOFA. Up to $2,000,000 is available in total from this year's NOFA. The Economic Development "Over-the-Counter" (OTC) Allocation requires a separate application with a maximum limit of $5,000,000 per year.
Eligible activities under the above allocations in the NOFA consist of Homeownership Assistance and Housing Rehabilitation programs; Public Facility and Public Improvement Projects (including Public Improvements in Support of New Housing Construction); Public Service Programs, Planning Studies, Economic Development Business Assistance, and Microenterprise Activities. THE PETITION FOR PROBATE requests that: Dean Duff be appointed as personal representative to administer the estate of the decedent.
