Once again the seventh-grade class at Richmond Elementary School is hosting their annual tri-tip dinner. The dinner is scheduled for from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 in their gym. You can either dine in or carry out. They will also have a silent auction this year. Tickets are now available, or you can buy them at door. They offer individual or family deals. This fundraiser is for their eighth-grade class trip next year.
SCHOLARSHIPS DEADLINE MONDAY
The Lassen County Farm Bureau is offering scholarships up to $5,000 for those interested in pursuing a career in agriculture. If you are in high school or college the deadline to apply for qualifying applicants is this Monday, March 23. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church Auxiliary is sponsoring its annual Palm Sunday pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 29 at Monsignor Moran Hall. It will be a full delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs, fruit, juice and coffee. There will be a slight charge for the breakfast; all proceeds from the event will benefit the scholarship fund.
BEES HAVE ARRIVED
Live mason bees are now in stock at Every Bloomin' Thing in limited supply. Owner Melissa McCoy tells us that each bee is able to do the pollinating work of 120 honeybees. They will improve the bloom on flowering plants and increase the yield in fruit trees.

Lassen Humane Society will be holding their seventh annual Humane Society Corned Beef and Cabbaged dinner and silent auction from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. This annual fundraiser helps to cover expenses for the Lassen Humane Society. Take out dinners are available, but hurry in they sell out fast!
