Lassen Youth Wrestling Association wrestlers competed at the Tulelake Wrestling Tournament Saturday, March 17. Some of the team's wrestlers won multiple medals and are gearing up for the Reno World Wrestling Championships in Reno Friday-Saturday, April 6-8.

Tommy Maine, Dorin Devlyne, Drew Lipton and Nick Lipton crushed their opponents in Tulelake., while Eric Maine, Shawn Swartz and Daniel Keeton also dominated their weight and divisions. The younger wrestlers are wrestling great too.



6 years old and younger

Tucker Vargas, Keith Martin, Nathaniel Pimentel and Ramon Pena won gold medals.



8 years old and younger

Gold medals went to Trevor Gabel and Nariman Arvjav. Terrin Vargas, Kyle Neely, Evan Hall, Richard Murphy placed second. Bronzes went to Alex Pimentel, Kyle Gibson, Arvjav and Neely. Kelsey Heckenliable and Hall settled for fourth-place finishes.



10 years old and younger

Eric Maine captured a pair of gold medals, while Swartz and Matt Day came homewith two silvers. Keeton and Josh Lovercheck placed third.



12 years old and younger

Dorin Devlyne earned two gold medals, and Drew Lipton and Keeton placed first. Mike Johnston had a second-place finish.



14 years old and younger

Gold medals went to Tommy Maine (two), Justen Roberts and Nick Lipton. Mitch Miles and Roberts won silvers, and Jack Judlin and Lenny Brazzanovich placed third.
