LASSEN HOOPS SIGN-UPS
Lassen Hoops (formerly Lassen Youth Basketball) is having sign-ups beginning tonight. Sign-ups will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Oct. 27 and 29, Nov. 7 and 10. All sign-ups will be held at Susanville Parks and Recreation, 75 N. Weatherlow St. Lassen Hoops is for boys and girls, grades 3-6, and 7 and 8 grade girls. Papa Murphy's in Susanville is gearing up for its Halloween tradition, the Jack-O-Lantern pizza. Halloween is typically a really busy day for Papa Murphy's, so if you want a smiling Jack-O-Lantern pizza be sure and get there early.

HAPPY 14TH ANNIVERSARY!
Golden 1 Credit Union would like to invite the Susanville Community to join them in celebration of their 14th Anniversary from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 30 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31. Today's Garden Center Magazine, a national publication, recently recognized Every Bloomin' Thing as a 2010 Revolutionary 100 Gardens Centers. Owner Melissa McCoy, said her business was recognized as one of the most innovative and progressive garden retailers in the country.

OH HOW SPOOKY!
There is a lot of spooky stuff happening this weekend. Melissa McCoy, owner of Every Bloomin' Thing informs us she will be offering a taste of harvest and holiday gourmet foods on Saturday. Any kids in costume will receive a goody bag, plus be sure and check out the premier of their holiday wonderland. You will find 1000's of ornaments and so much more for decorating during the holiday season.
    
In Uptown Susanville, the annual Safe N Sane Halloween will be from 3 to 5 p.m. There will be costume contests from birth to 12 years of age starting at 4 p.m. on the corner of Lassen and Main streets. Amanda of Clip 'N' Dales will be hosting a pet costume contest at 3:15, be sure and bring your four legged one in costume. If haunted houses are your thing, well there will be a couple of those two. Of course US Bank will have their annual haunted house, and there will be a haunted hotel tour at the Hotel Mt. Lassen.

IT'S A CIRCUS!
Susanville Assembly of God will be hosting a Family Circus on Saturday, Oct. 31. The fun is from 4 to 7 p.m., everyone is invited. To enter all you need is a bag of candy. There will all kinds of fun games, hay-rides, food, prizes, an inflatable bounce house and more.
