Janey Warren of the JCPenney Catalog Store in Susanville informs us the new Christmas catalogs are now in. You can pick up your free copy anytime. Did you know that if you have your orders shipped directly to the JCPenney store in Susanville, not only will you get your order quicker, but you will also pay less for shipping. Janey also tells us they will call you when your order comes in too. You can either order online in your own home, or at their store in the shopping center near Wal-Mart.
HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSEKelly Smith, owner of Hodge Podge Lodge in Susanville is having her annual Holiday Open House this weekend. On Saturday, enjoy homemade cookies and spiced apple cider while you shop for the holidays. Be sure and sign up to win a beautiful Christmas basket while you are there. The fun begins at 10 am.

WINE TASTING ANYONE?
The Susanville Sunrise Rotary Club is hosting their seventh annual Wine Tasting and hors d'oeuvres gathering. This event will be at Jensen Hall (Fairgrounds in Susanville) on Friday, Nov. 20, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or any Susanville Sunrise Rotarian.
DANCE RECITAL
Mary Loflin of New Image Racquetball informs us there will be a House of Dance recital at 7 p.m., this Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Veterans Hall in Susanville. All proceeds will go to Jennifer House who is currently undergoing treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. You can contact New Image for more information.

STORE CLOSING...
In case you didn't notice, The Bike Station in Susanville is closing the store soon. Owner Jeff Warren is moving out of the area, and relocating the store. Jeff said, "Now is the time to make me an offer." Be sure and stop by his Uptown Susanville location.
FREE SHIPPING, MATTRESSES, JENN-AIR AND MORE
Did you know you can go into Sears, go online and place your order. As long as the item weighs less than 50 lbs, you will receive free shipping when you order online. Owner Kevin Smith tells us they have several new things happening. Sears is now the exclusive retailer for Jenn-Air appliances and they have an all new display.
Speaking of new things at Sears, Kevin tells us they are now carrying mattresses in the store. In fact, you can test the mattresses out, in the store and they are made right after you place your order, so they don't sit around in a warehouse.
Mark your calendars, or should we say set your alarm for the day after Thanksgiving, as Sears will be opening this year at 4 am. Kevin said they will be offering great deals that day especially before noon.
OPEN SUNDAYS TOO
Animal lover Monte Kielty of Treats Dog Company reminds everyone he is open on Sundays. In fact they are open seven days a week in their Susanville location. They also have a store in Chester.
CLOSED SUNDAYS
The AT&T store in Susanville is changing their store hours. You will find them open Monday-Saturday until 6 pm, and closed on Sundays.
NEED SOME PAPER TO START YOUR FIRE?
It's that time of year again, where we are scrambling to find paper to start our fires. You can come by the Lassen County Times office in Susanville and buy a whole bundle of papers for $1. Our office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR
The Lassen County Fair has scheduled the annual Craft Fair and Lassen Family Services Hobby Crafts for Dec. 4 and 5. There is still limited space for venders available on a first come first serve basis. The fair has fundraising opportunities for groups and organizations during the craft fair. Contact the fair office for more information.

The Beauty Corral would like to introduce the newest member of our professional staff, Cierra Sloper. She has just relocated to Susanville from Chico and has more than three years experience in all phases of hairdressing. She specializing in men’s haircuts, up do’s weaves, colors and perms. Cierra is available Tuesday through Saturday and some evenings at the Beauty Correl located at 170 Russell Ave.
