CELEBRATING SIX YEARS AS OWNER

Have you ever felt like sometimes the workday can just drag on and on and on? Well if you need that afternoon pick me up, head up to Primo Deli in Uptown Susanville for owner Tammi Montgomery's afternoon special. From 2 to 4 pm you can enjoy a specialty drink, or maybe some pie and coffee. If you haven't tried her homemade brownies, you have been missing out!

This month is her sixth anniversary as owner of the business. Tammi said she will be offering her high school special to everyone during the month.

AND THE WINNERS ARE....

Don Kirkpatrick, of Kirkpatrick Seal & Stripe, appreciates everyone who stopped by his booth at the recent Spring Home & Garden show. He had a raffle giveaway for dinner for two at Lassen Steaks. The winners were Roxanna Diaz and Bryan Haynes of Susanville.

A ROSE DIPPED IN GOLD

You may remember seeing beautiful roses dipped in gold at Picture Perfect. Since Debbie Cleveland (of Picture Perfect) decided to retire, those roses have found a new home. Blake and David Huhtala, owners of The Elegant Iris and The Men's Den, are now carrying those beautiful roses. They make a memorable gift for Mother's Day.

TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE

The Susanville Repertoire Company is at it again. Their newest performance is Murder At Alkali Lake, a play by Dr. Tom Gauthier. The fun filled evening is a musical murder mystery dinner theater on both May 14 and May 15 at the Susanville Elks Lodge. Tickets are available at Margie's Book Nook and The UPS Store.

CELEBRATING CINCO de MAYO

Esther Faustino and the staff at El Tepeyac Grille have put together some tasty specials for Cinco de Mayo and they look forward to seeing all their longtime customers and new ones on this day of celebration.  Faustino also tells us that Lassen Steaks inside the El Tepeyac Grille will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on Mother’s Day.  Treat mom to a delicious lunch or dinner in a casually elegant atmosphere and let their staff serve her in style on her special day.

Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel is giving away $500 in cash starting at noon on Wednesday, May 5.  You can enjoy tacos and your favorite Mexican beverages on that special day.

If you’re not sure what to do for Mother’s day, they’re also offering a room and dining special too.  See the casino for more details on their many promotions.

Tacos Fiesta Mexicana is celebrating Mother’s Day and Cinco de Mayo on both Wednesday, May 5 and Sunday, May 9. Be sure and check out their Mexican flavor dishes for Mom.
