CONCEALED WEAPONS CLASSES   

If you are looking to take a class to carry a concealed weapon, you can do it with Auslander Tactical. Frank-Ti Neff is your local CCW Instructor. There are two different classes available in July for CA-CCW classes, and even one available for Utah (UT-CCW). See their ad in this week's paper.

SPOTLIGHTING LOCAL BUSINESSES  

Did you know that Kerri Cobb and her staff at US Bank are spotlighting local businesses each month? They recently recognized the gals at Smiles For Life, Inc. as business customers of the month (and Jeannie and Kami appreciated it). It all comes down to what I was talking about a few weeks ago, all of us working together to do our part locally.

TIP A PLAYER AT ROSE'S CAFE   

There is a newly formed traveling baseball team in Susanville. The Junior Renegades, (a USSSA team), coached by Eric Perry, is a traveling team that was just formed this spring. They are having a fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Wednesday night at Rose's Cafe in Susanville. You can tip the players to help them raise funds for tournament fees, equipment and uniforms. Stop in for some great food, and assist the ballplayers.

FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION   

It’s race time! The Lassen County Fairgrounds is having races on the 4th of July. The gates open at 5 p.m., races start at 7. Following the races you can enjoy the spectacular fireworks show the have prepared for you this year. See their ad in this week’s paper.

HULSMAN LAMB NOW AVAILABLE AT HEALTH NUT
   

The Health Nut is happy to report that they again have Hulsman Ranch lamb in stock.     

This locally grown lamb was temporarily unavailable but is now back in the freezer.  The Health Nut is proud to carry local grass-fed beef and lamb from the beautiful Hulsman Ranch in Susanville.  Grass-fed meats are lower in fat and higher in heart-healthy Omega-3 fatty acids.  It's also growth hormone free.

Are you ready for a new hairstyle for spring? Jennifer Blackburn, owner of Hi-Lites Salon welcomes Sarah Biggs to the team of professional stylist. Sarah is available for cuts, wax, manicures or pedicures.   

Jennifer also tells us the ladies recently returned from the West Coast Hair Show in San Jose. They learned lots of new ideas for cuts and color. They welcome walk-ins, or call them for your appointment.
