RAILS TO TRAILS PARTICIPANTS
Lassen Land & Trails Trust is sponsoring the 18th annual Rails to Trails Festival Oct. 9. This event has become very popular over the years and has been a proven venue for local crafters. This year’s festival will be held at the same time as the Bizz Johnson Trail Marathon, which will attract more than 800 folks through the depot grounds, in addition to the locals who attend this popular event.
They still have room for a few more crafters, food vendors, chili cookers and salsa makers. If you would like to participate in any of these activities, go down to the Historic Susanville Railroad Depot located at 601 Richmond Road for an application for any of these events. All the applications must be turned in by Oct. 1. For more information you can call the Depot from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
