HOLIDAY LAYAWAY NOW AVAILABLE
The Pardner tells us they are now accepting layaway for your holiday purchases. If you haven’t shopped there lately, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find something for everyone on your list from their new line of Boggs boots and sheepskin-lined slippers, to stylish vests and warm winter shirts. They even have great gifts and treats for that special furry friend on your shopping list.
FOOD DRIVE AND PHOTOS WITH SANTA
From 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, Banner Lassen Medical Center will host the third annual community food drive and photos with Santa. Bring your non-perishable food items to Banner Lassen Medical Center’s Lassen/Shasta rooms and receive a free photo with Santa (limit — 1 photo per person). Donated food will go to Lassen Senior Services to assist in making holiday dinners for Senior Citizens in need.
Santa and his elves are very excited to see everyone this year. There will be cookies, cider and cocoa available while you wait for your turn to talk with Santa.

HAVING A HOLIDAY PARTY?
If you are hosting a holiday party this year, you may need to rent some tables and chairs to accommodate everyone. Lassen Rents in Susanville not only rents storage containers (20 or 40 foot) but now they rent tables, chairs and even a wood splitter. Terry Mallery informs us they have "wedding white" tables and chairs as well as metal tables and chairs. They also have a wood splitter for rent now, too. For more information or to rent an item, give them a call today.
WANT SMOOTH, FRIZZ FREE HAIR?
Bill Wemple, owner of Beauty Corral, and his staff are delighted to introduce the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. It restructures and reconditions hair fibers to create incredible shine and smoothes the frizz. This treatment is a naturally healthy smoothing process and formaldehyde free. Much of the staff has just received specialized training to perform this service and they are excited to get started with it! To find out more contact the Beauty Corral located at the corner of Russell Ave. and Fair Drive.
NOW OPEN ON MONDAYS
Blake Huhtala, of The Elegant Iris, and The Men's Den, informs us they are now open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays. They are now carrying some local artists products in their store, like Janie's Body Products and Ragaroo Rugs by Dawn Minch. If someone on your holiday lists has a sweet tooth, don't forget about the hand-dipped truffles. They have 20 different delicious kinds to choose from. Check it all out in their Uptown Susanville location.
DID YOU PLAY MATCH THE ELVES?
Last week during the shop local promotion of Santa Sleigh Days, we featured Match the Elves. Hopefully we didn't stump everyone trying to figure out who was who. But if we did be sure and check out the paper this week to see who was who. Thanks to all of those who played the game and shopped with our local merchants this holiday season.
Next week we will have a list of those who won part of the $500 shopping spree.
