Lady Jacks move to semi-final round, play at home Thursday
Nov. 16, 2011 — The Westwood High varsity volleyball team defeated the Liberty Christian Patriots 3-2 to move to the semi-final round of the Northern Section CIF Division VI playoffs.
The Lady Jacks won the first two games of the contest, 25-13 and 25-20, before the Patriots came back strong to win the next two, 26-24 and 25-20.
In the determining game five, the Lady Jacks (number two seed) defeated the number 10 seed, 15-4, to take the match and move to the next round of playoffs.
The Lady Jacks will play at home Thursday, Nov. 17, against the Mercy High Warriors. The game is at 7 p.m.
