At 5:30 p.m. Dec. 20, Dr. Branvold will be discussing the latest non-surgical, non-drug technology and treatment modalities for spinal stenosis. PHOTOS WITH SANTA
Banner Lassen Medical Center will be hosting a food drive fundraiser to help feed our local needy families. From 1 to 7 p.m. Dec. 16 just bring a non-perishable food item to the hospital, and you can get a photo with Santa. There will be free refreshments and candy canes! Be sure to stop by their gift shop and check out all the new holiday items!
SHOPPING NIGHT FOR MEN
The Gift Boutique on Main Street in Susanville has set aside Dec. 17 for a special Men’s Shopping Night. Just bring the ladies your wish lists, and they will help you find the perfect gift for those special people in your life. You can enjoy complimentary refreshments while you shop for a new gift item or vintage collectable. These days it’s considered eco-friendly to give a treasure from the past. Gift-wrapping is available so you can go home and put your presents right under the tree!
CHRISTMAS AT THE RANCH
Irene Doyle tells us this is the last week for the Christmas at the Ranch gift and craft show. The local crafters and artisans have filled this vintage home with many unique and one-of-a-kind gifts, sure to be loved by anyone on you’re holiday gift list. Plus they have holiday home décor in case your looking for something to give your home that special feel for the holidays. If you’ve ever wondered as you’ve driven past this house on Highway 395 what it looked like inside, now is your chance to find out and do some shopping local, too!
FINAL DRAWING TO WIN A CAR
The final drawing at the Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel for the Ford Focus giveaway will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 17. The New Year's Eve Bash at the Susanville Elks Lodge is set for Dec. 31. Join them for dinner and dancing. They are serving dinner beginning at 7 p.m., followed by dancing with Rocking Rhino. For tickets go to Century 21 or the Lassen Credit Union.

SLEIGH DAYS A SUCCESS
Once again people were out and about shopping local last week during Santa's Sleigh Days. There were lots of lucky winners throughout Susanville as well. Three people won a $100 shopping spree; Annita Haynes, Rachel Redding and Meredith Vargas. There were four $50 winners; Phoebe Freeman, Shirley Elliot, Toni Stowell and Jesse Sandei.
