NEW TEEN CHALLENGE GROUP FORMING

A parking lot sale is being planned to support the Sacramento Valley Teen Challenges new Susanville contact office. Honey Lake Hospice will be having their Good Grief Support Group meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 18 at the Lassen Library in Susanville. ALCOHOL AWARENESS MONTH

Lassen County Alcohol and Other Drug Department tells us April is Alcohol Awareness Month and as part of it, they want to remind parents it’s never too early to talk to your chidren about the dangers of substance use and abuse. If you are concerned your child may be experimenting with alcohol or drugs, they offer resources to parents and students to encourage a positive, proactive approach to these issues. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s cool to provide alcohol to kids in your home. Individuals contributing or purchasing alcohol for minors can face serious fines and legal penalties.
