Lassen Regulators hosts shoot for Toys for Tots
Oct. 2, 2012 — The local division of the Northern Nevada Cowboy Action Shooting — Lassen Regulators — will hold its annual Toys for Tots Kids Shoot beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Rice Canyon Range.
All ages are welcome to participate with the contribution of a new unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys for Tots.
Cowboy action shooting is an event where children are grouped in posses and participate in various gun-fighting scenarios. Lassen Regulators will provide older type weapons such as pistols, rifles and shotguns for children to use under the supervision of trained adults.
Signups begin at 8 a.m. and, weather permitting, shooting matches start at 9 a.m. At noon, volunteers will serve a lunch of chili, hotdogs and beverages for a cost of $5.
