Mailbox thefts, vandalisms reported

Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 — Deputies from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office are investigating numerous complaints of vandalisms and thefts from cluster mailboxes located in rural areas

Citizens are urged to report any suspicious people or vehicles in their neighborhoods by calling 257-6121.

Most likely cranksters looking for drugs or parcels to steal and sell for cash.

Try to install trail or video cameras near your rural mail boxes to ID and help catch these thieves.

How sad is that! Hopefully those who are stooping to such a low realize that's a federal offense...then again they probably aren't wise enough to know that.
