Albert L. Fremd
Nov. 8, 1935 — Nov. 9, 2012
Albert Fremd was born in Susanville, Calif. where he met and married his wife, Carlene, in 1953. In 1962, Albert and Carlene moved to Redding with their children, Kim and Scott, where he began his career at Meeks Lumber. He retired from Meeks in 1987 and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved people, and people loved his sense of humor.
Albert died peacefully, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carlene; his son, Scott and his wife, Ann; and children, Hannah, Ian and Joe, of Sonora; his son-in-law, Bob Griffith and daughter, Kristen, of Sacramento; and many nieces and nephews.
His daughter, Kim, preceded him in death.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring under his beloved redwood grove.
