Toys for Tots seeks donations

Nov. 27, 2012 — Lassen County residents have an opportunity to help less fortunate children in the community enjoy a Merry Christmas.

Lassen County’s Search and Rescue will collect unwrapped new toys for its Toys for Tots drive from 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 through the conclusion of the fireworks display at the Magical Country Christmas celebration held that evening in Uptown Susanville.

Search and Rescue will also collect toys at the Marine Corps League breakfast held from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Veterans Memorial Hall.

Search and Rescue volunteers will help with the breakfast, and the proceeds will be used for equipment replacement.
