Cal EMA activates joint information center to coordinate public information efforts
Nov. 30, 2012 — The California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA) activated its Joint Information Center (JIC) in an effort to help coordinate public information in support of the State Operations Center and its Northern Region Emergency Operations Center due to the rapidly evolving storm system.
The JIC is available to assist the public and media inquires, and can be reached from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at (916) 845-8438.
Cal EMA continues to actively monitor the wet and windy storm situation hitting the majority of Northern California today and through the weekend.
