The Pardner, Inc. is once again hosting its annual Men’s Shopping Night. They’ve stocked the store with all the latest in western wear, gifts, jewelry and home décor. Plus, you can get complimentary gift wrapping and enjoy refreshments while you shop. The event will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20.
Lassen Volcanic National Park rangers will lead snowshoe walks at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, Sunday, Dec. 23, Wednesday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Dec. 27. Meet at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center. Festival of Lights at the Lassen County Fairgrounds is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from 5 to 8 p.m. Sundays until Christmas. It will also be available for viewing from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 25.
A Veterans Christmas party will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 in the lower level of the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street in Susanville. All veterans and their families are invited to attend. Santa Claus will make a visit and have toys for the children. For more information, call Tom at 251-3223.

Tissue Paper Northern Lights class from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 or from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22. Fee is $10.
New Year Surprise class from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 or from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29. Fee is $10.
Art Camp for children ages 7 to 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 through Friday, Jan. 4. Includes three or four art projects per day plus a snack. Fee is $75.

Community Church will host a Christmas dinner from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25 in Jensen Hall at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. The event is free and open to the public.
Mariner's Resort at Eagle Lake is hosting a New Year’s Eve Party from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31. There will be food, drink, music and dancing. For more information, call 260-0753.
Diamond Mountain Casino will hold a New Year’s Eve Party in the Diamond Willow Room Monday, Dec. 31. The buffet will open at 6 p.m. and features prime rib and seafood dinner and a glass of champagne.
