County offers low-cost flu shots
Nov. 16, 2013 — Lassen County’s Public Health Department offers residents an opportunity to get a low-cost flu shot during a drive-through clinic held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21 at the Lassen High School main parking lot.
According to a public service announcement from the county, “The 2012-2013 flu season has come on strong this year as an epidemic in the United States. The CDC recommends everyone over 6 months of age get the flu vaccine each year as it is the best protection against this serious disease … Get your flu shot, not the flu.”
A limited number of flu shots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $2 per vaccination, cash only.
