INDOOR YARD AND CRAFT SALE
Lassen Senior Services is having an indoor yard sale and craft sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4. Booth rental is still available; call 257-2113 to reserve your space. You can set your booth up from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 3. They will be serving chili, nachos and drinks.
MOTHER'S DAY TEA AND BRUNCH
The California State Grange in Standish is hosting a Mother's Day Victorian Tea and Gourmet Brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at the Standish 4-H Hall on Highway 395 East. They are serving a delicious assortment of breakfast items. Pre-sale tickets are available by calling Mia at 249-4494.
EXPANDING DELIVERY SERVICE
Eileen MacChamber tells us she’s recently expanded her business, Eileen’s Delivery Service, in Susanville.
“Many people would like the convenience of having food from restaurants that don’t offer delivery service and for a minimal fee, I am able to pick up and deliver food and groceries from businesses throughout the community,” she said.

ANNUAL TEEN CHALLENGE PARKING LOT SALE
Our local Teen Challenge chapter is hosting their annual Parking Lot Sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Lassen High School. If you’ve been putting off doing your spring cleaning, now is the time do that and donate your unwanted items to this worthwhile organization. You can drop off your donations the morning of the sale at the parking lot or call Steve at 253-3979 to arrange for a pickup. Plus, they’ll be offering a barbeque hot dog or hamburger fundraiser lunch at the event.
11TH ANNUAL 4-H/FFA HORSE SHOW COMING
Sandy Raffelson contacted us to let you know the 11th annual 4-H/FFa Horse Show and Educational Expo will be held on June 1 and 2 at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.
“Last year we had as many as 43 riders from five different counties and two states” she said.
This is a qualifying show for the California State Fair and California 4-H Horse Classic. PINWHEELS FOR PREVENTION
Lassen Family Services announces they will be holding their second annual Pinwheels for Prevention Day from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 26 at their offices on Riverside Drive in Susanville. They will be serving free root beer floats to the first 150 people. Children can enjoy making crafts with their parents, games and more. See their ad in this week’s paper for more information.
CHURCH YARD SALE

BIRDIES "FORE" BASKETBALL
Lassen High School boys basketball team and boosters is sponsoring their first golf tournament June 1 at Diamond Mountain Golf Course. The golf tournament is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start. They will be serving up a tri-tip dinner after the tournament. So gather up your own team and go out and have some fun while helping them raise some funds.
