Susanville Taxi agreement to be terminated
The Lassen Transit Service Agency has been given 30 days notice of termination of the Agreement between Susanville Express Taxi and the agency. Taxi service that was provided under this Agreement will no longer be available as of June 2, 2013.
Dial a Ride service is available for your immediate use, as well as after the June 2 discontinuation of taxi service. Any vouchers you purchase for use on the taxi will be honored by the Dial a Ride service. Dial a Ride service hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. There is no Sunday service.
You may still use taxi services after June 2, however; you will be entirely and solely responsible for any charges incurred for use of the service.
In order to use Dial a Ride, you must qualify to be eligible for the service. If you have not already done so, please contact Lassen Rural Bus at 252-7433 for an application.
Dial a Ride service requires one day advance reservations. Reservations can be made by calling 252-7433.
Regular bus service is available as well. Rider’s Guides detailing the routes, fares and time schedules are available for your convenience.
If you have any questions about the discontinuation of the taxi service, contact Dan Douglas, transit planner, at 251-8305.
