LOCAL PHONE BOOKS GETTING OUT
The 2015 edition of your locally produced telephone book, theLassenPlumas Connection, is hot off the presses and is in the process of being delivered throughout Lassen, Plumas and eastern Sierra counties. This is the 20th year we have published this popular local directory compiled of residential and business listings from throughout the region packaged into one attractive, conveniently sized and easy-to-read phonebook. Each year we continue to add more and more cell phone numbers from locals who have discontinued their landlines and have asked us to include their new contact information in this directory.
Our thanks to the local business and professional people who, through their ongoing advertising investment, make this highly used reference directory possible.
But here’s something you might not know: A huge share of their advertising investment in this local directory is given back to our local schools, clubs and organizations in payment to deliver this book, making it a major fundraiser for many of those organizations. Since that very first edition in 1995, these groups have shared in more than $180,000 delivering the Lassen Plumas Connection.
In the days and weeks ahead, students will be delivering these phone books to every home and office throughout the tri-county area. Once they are delivered, should you need additional copies for your home or office, just drop by your local newspaper office or one of our convenient newsstand locations and help yourself.
SEEKING PUBLIC INPUT
Two public meetings will be held; at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3 in the Board of Supervisor’s Chambers at 707 Nevada St. in Susanville.
