July 2, 2013 — Firework season is upon us, and although July 4 symbolizes independence from England, there are still some guidelines to ensure the safe use of fireworks this dry time of year.
The Lassen County Fairgrounds will be hosting their free fireworks show set to start after the Diamond Mountain Speedway race, Thursday, July 4. No outside fireworks will be allowed on fairground property.
Keeping a local tradition, Safeway will allow residents to use safe and sane fireworks – those that do not explode or fly – in their parking lot July 4.
Be safe and enjoy your Independence Day.
