Cat perishes in mobile home fire

|July 3, 2013 — A yet to be determined cause sparked a fire at a residence at a Russell Avenue mobile park Wednesday, July 3. The mobile home was most likely totaled by the fire, one cat was resuscitated by a fireman and another cat died. Emergency services dispatched at approximately 12:45 p.m. Responders included the Susanville Fire Department, Susan River Fire District, CalFire, Lassen Municipal Utility District, the police department, and the office of emergency services. Fire crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to neighboring mobile homes.|
