Boys soccer team gets first win of the year

Jan. 27 - The Lassen High School boy’s soccer team traveled to Central Valley High School Jan. 15 for another league contest. The Grizzlies played extremely hard and notched its first victory of the year, 1-0. They next traveled to Anderson Tuesday, Jan. 20 where they fell 5-2. Against

Central Valley High School, the Grizzlies defense came out determined to keep the ball out of their side of the field. Led by strong play from senior defenseman Dalton Reed, Central Valley was unable to get much going.

During the first-half freshman midfielder Dustin Morgan found himself with the ball and a chance to make something happen. He took the ball and set up junior midfielder Eric Helpingstine for a goal, which gave the Grizzlies a 1-0 lead.
