Sept. 3, 2013 — OK, who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch?
The Lassen Municipal Utility District invites its customers to attend its annual Customer Appreciation Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at its office located at 65 S. Roop St. in Susanville.
The publicly owned utility district will serve ¼ pound, all beef hot dogs grilled by General Manager Bill Stewart. The free lunch also includes chips and a drink.
“This is the fourth year we’ve done this,” said Energy Services Manager Theresa Phillips, “and it’s a lot of fun. We invite our customers to come hang out with us and have lunch.”
Phillips said many of the district’s staff members will attend the barbecue, and they can answer any questions customers may have.
The utility district also will distribute free nightlights and lunch coolers and hold a drawing for a 32-inch flat screen, Energy Star compliant television set.
“Everyone’s invited,” Phillips said. “Come have lunch and visit with us for a while.”
