Paving work delays traffic on Highway 395 in Susanville
Sept. 11, 2013 — The California Department of Transportation District 2, along with Hat Creek Construction from Burney, Calif., will be paving a section of Highway 395, from the 395/36 Junction to Diane Dr. on Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15.
One-way traffic control with flaggers will be in effect. Motorists are likely to encounter heavy congestion and stopped traffic and can except delays of up to 20 minutes. There may also be delays for those traveling between Susanville and Johnstonville on Highways 36 and 395. Caltrans is urging drivers to find alternate routes, if possible.
Caltrans would like to remind the traveling public to move over if safe or slow down when they see Caltrans vehicles flashing warning lights along the side of the highways, and to Slow for the Cone Zone.
