GETTING READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS
With the cool, crisp mornings and evenings we know fall has arrived in Lassen County. Our advertising consultants are already busy working on the holiday season.
As we make plans on giving back to the community this year, once again we are going to "adopt" the Senior Center this season. We are asking the public for assistance in making donations for the seniors in our community. We will graciously accept any donations in our office anyone wants to make and we will deliver them to the Senior Center.
If you'd like to give back this holiday season, we challenge you, your family, friends, co-workers, etc. to help an organization in our community. There are many different agencies assisting people that need a little extra help. If you accept the challenge we'd love to hear from you!

MEAT MARKET IN WESTWOOD
Curtis Montgomery and Joe Lundergreen have taken over the meat department inside Young’s Market and have renamed it Lumberjack Meat Counter. For several years, the two have worked for Don Biggs who, after several decades of cutting meat, has decided it was time to pursue other interests. Having been mentored by Biggs, they will continue to offer the same quality of meats and deli products. They will also provide ranch and game processing. Joe is a lifelong Westwood resident and Curtis moved to Westwood 11 years ago from Montana. Photo by Valorie Chisholm
