LHS Lady Grizzlies win consolation in West Valley Tournament
Jan. 7 – The Lassen High School girls basketball team won consolation at the West Valley Tournament held Jan. 3-5. The Lady Grizzlies beat Central Valley 53-31 and Gridley 61-40. They lost to Shasta. Mikailia McClure-Bustamante and Jacqui Smith were awarded all tourney.

Coppervale Ski Area open and ready for season

| Jan. 4, 2013 — Coppervale Ski Area opened Dec. 24 after winter storms dropped several feet of snow on the slopes. LHS girls basketball team wins Fall River Tournament

| Jan. 3, 2013 — The Lassen High School girls basketball team won the Fall River Tournament on Dec. 14 and 15. Emily Terwillger won MVP with 37 points, 29 rebounds and 13 blocked shots. LCC beats Cuesta College in overtime

Dec. 26, 2012 — Lassen Community College defeated Cuesta College 101-93 in a tense game that ended in overtime on Saturday, Dec. 22. This was LCC's first home game of the season. Charles E. Jackson III goes up to score for the Cougars in overtime. |
