Whether it is your kitty or pup that poses best, get out your cameras for Milwood Florist and Pet Supply’s Pet Photo Contest. Bring your picture of your pet into the store, located at 2020 Main St., Susanville, and enter for your chance to win. The winner will be announced on Friday, Dec. 1 in the store. AAA/LC ANIMAL SHELTER
AAA in Susanville is once again trying to help the Lassen County Animal Shelter by accepting donations in their Susanville office. The animal shelter is in need of pet food for dogs and cats, toys, pet beds, cat litter and much more. You can stop by AAA for a list of items they need, and drop off your donations at their Susanville office.

WESTWOOD CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
The Westwood Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Westwood Christmas Bazaar from 1 to 4 p.m. this Sunday, Dec. 3 at the Westwood Community Center. It’s a great time to shop and support local talent. For more information, call the Chamber at 256-2456.

VFW BREAKFAST — LAST ONE OF YEAR
The Veterans of Foreign Wars, William Davidson, Post 2381 will once again be hosting its monthly breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. this Saturday, Dec. 2. The breakfast is downstairs at the Veterans Memorial building on Main Street in Susanville. They serve eggs, sausage, hash browns and more. This will be their last breakfast for the year. HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR
Once again the Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms is hosting their Holiday Craft Fair this weekend. From 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street in Susanville, you will find unique gifts, creative home decor, delicious food and much more. All proceeds benefit our active duty military and local veterans.

Once again, the Susanville City Kickettes will perform their Christmas Extraordinaire at the Veterans Memorial Hall on Main Street in Susanville. The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9 and 10. The Kickettes feature all of the JandJ Performing Arts dancers. SANTA’S SLEIGH DAYS IS HERE
It’s time for the annual Santa’s Sleigh Days shop local holiday event. In this week’s paper, you’ll find the special supplement with advertisements promoting the holiday sales at our 19 sponsors. Starting on Tuesday, each sponsor will be giving out a bag of popcorn to the first 15 customers who come in that week. One bag per sponsor will have a special entry into a drawing to win one of two $50 shopping sprees. Plus, you can enter the free drawings at all the merchants. Several businesses will also be holding their own in-store drawings for fabulous prizes.

CHRISTMAS MAGIC IS IN THE AIR
The Bottle & Brush Art Bar is having a special one-day only sale from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 2. You’ll find great discounts on gift certificates, paint and sip artwork, and they’ll be offering the solo art/open studio that day, too. VICTIMS OF CRIME HOBBY CRAFT FAIR
For 28 years, the California Correctional Center has partnered with Lassen Family Services Victims of Crime to host their annual hobby craft fair and auction. The event will take place at the Lassen County Fairgrounds on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2. They have a great selection of handcrafted wooden items that will make for a wonderful Christmas gift.
