AWANA STARTS SOON

You can register online at cefchurch.com, or stop by their 110 N. Gay St. office. There is a small fee, and financial help is available if needed.
See their ad in this week’s paper for more information.

FOOTBALL SEASON/WINDOWS
You’re thinking what could football and windows have in common?
Well if you go to a home game at Lassen High School this year and you happen to be lucky enough to catch a T-shirt, the cheerleaders throw them at the crowd at half time; well then, that’s where the windows come in. Bob Russell, of Russell’s Window Cleaning, tells us he is offering a special to those who catch a T-shirt this year. Be sure and give him a call if you get a shirt at 257-2985.

FALL REGISTRATION AUGUST 23
Joan’s Studio of Dance is hosting their fall registration from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23.

INSURANCE, CD’S AND?
When you think of State Farm Insurance/Bill Muttera, you probably aren’t thinking of investments. Well Bill tells us, not only is State Farm able to handle all your insurance needs, but they also offer FDIC-insured certificates. Stop in and see Bill at his 2910 Riverside Drive office or give him a call at 257-4041.

SEARS NOT CLOSING
Just wanted to clarify and redirect some rumors you may have heard. Kevin and Kitty Smith, owners of the local Sears Hometown store in Uptown Susanville, tell us they are not closing the Susanville store. They look forward to doing business for many years to come in the area.
Remember, they not only sell appliances, lawn and garden tools, but they also offer Kitchen Tuneups.
If your kitchen needs a little or large makeover, give them a call at 257-5171, or stop by their 911 Main St. location to see what they can do for you.
