Location: Crater Underburn — the southwest side of Crater Mountain.
Type of Burn:Broadcast — Ponderosa Pine and White Fir timber litter.
Total acreage: 110 acres.
Planned initiation: Today, Wednesday, May 16 or Thursday, May 17.
Duration of ignition:Total of 1-2 days, depending on conditions.
Estimated direction of smoke travel: Primarily east to northeast.
Communities or smoke sensitive areas:Smoke will be visible from Highway 44. Eagle Lake Basin may experience short-term impacts from smoke.
