Sesquicentennial celebration Tuesday
Saturday, March 29, 2014 — Lassen County celebrates its 150th anniversary at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 in front of the historic Lassen County Courthouse.
While larger sesquicentennial celebrations are set for later in the year in May, June and September, Lassen County District 2 Supervisor Jim Chapman, the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, the Lassen County Historical Society and the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office plan to hold a brief ceremony.
The public is invited to attend and participate. After the event, the public is invited to enjoy lunch at the Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer Saloon where county history will be discussed.
