Project Eagle Lake Trout Labor Day Celebration

The California Inland Fisheries Foundation and Project Eagle Lake Trout present the annual Labor Day Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Eagle Lake RV Park and Store in Spalding. A horseshoe tournament begins at 9:30 a.m., fishing guides present tips on catching that trophy trout at 11 a.m., a tri-tip and chicken barbecue begins at noon, a free raffle for all children between the ages of 3 and 12 and a giant raffle for adults begin at 2 p.m.

Lassen National Park hosts the sixth annual Art and Wine of Lassen on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center at Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Taste wine from local vineyards and ales from local breweries including Lassen Ale Works, sample products from regional entrepreneurs, and enjoy music from local artists. Park admission is free on Sept. 26 in celebration of National Public Lands Day.
