Rusty's daddy was killed in this accident and was also in this crash. Rusty may be injured, he ran into the woods. Rusty is a 2 1/2 yr old black male Boxer-Border Collie mix, looks like a Lab. White tip tail, white toes, white blaze on chest, probably no collar.

My husband was not only the love of my life, my best friend, a great father and grandfather. He is my soul mate and I miss him so much and will for the rest of my life. I want to thank everyone involved, from the person who reported the accident, the first responders, the Highway Patrol, Susanville Police Dept., Animal Control, the Veterinarian that took care of our injured dog and all the fine people still out looking for our missing dog. And thanks to everyone else I may not have mentioned. I feel truly blessed to have all these wonderful people helping my family through the most difficult days of our lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you so much to all who have helped and those who are still helping. My daddy Richard Shaun Castle was an amazingly complicated man who always wanted help everyone. He loved to play music of any kind, hang out with just about anyone who would be willing to listen to him tell another one of his stories that you may or may not have heard already. He loved to cook and BBQ for 2 or 20... He loved his family and if you were his friend then you were family and he loved his dogs as if they were his human kids (some would same more). He touched every sole he ever came in contact with and will be dearly missed by ALL he knew! I love you Dad and can't wait till I get to see you face to face again.

On behalf of our family, I would like to personally thank first responders from the bottom of my heart, as well as everyone following up on this accident. A big heartfelt thank you to all involved, especially Officer Bunyard. To the good folks in the Susanville area, bless you all for being so wonderful to our family.
We have ROWDY, the Pitbull. He's covered in scabs/bruises and very shaken up.
You are looking for RUSTY, who may also be injured. RUSTY is a 2 1/2 yr old black male Boxer-Border Collie mix, looks like a Lab. White tip tail, white toes, white blaze on chest, probably no collar.
