District seeks deadline extension
Tuesday, July 29, 2014 — The Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District Board of Directors and Jeff White, its contracted deputy watermaster, both acknowledged the flaws in an appropriations document detailing the amount the Lassen County Auditor will charge water users on their property tax bills.
The board unanimously voted to send a draft copy of the document to water users to check for errors, but did not use the certification language provided by Lassen County Auditor Karen Fouch.
Board member Ruth Dike moved the board also should ask Fouch to extend the Aug. 15 deadline to file the document with the auditor’s office.
