PARKING LOT SALE
Wheels West and the Lassen County Federal Credit Union have once again teamed up for a parking lot sale. The sale will take place along with the help of Susanville Supermarket’s parking lot (on the Main Street side) from Wednesday, July 9 through Saturday, July 12. Be sure and check out the great rates Lassen County Federal Credit Union has available to car purchasers and enjoy a tri-tip sandwich on the guys at Wheels West.
Jumpin' Joey's is opening at 10 a.m. this Saturday, July 12. This indoor bounce house and family fun center is available for children ages one to 14. Owners Dan and Jolea Clapp inform us there are three different areas, including one for the wobblers and toddlers. The older children can be off bouncing and the younger ones will have their own area. They also offer a room for private parties, a concession stand and areas for parents to sit and relax while the youngsters are off playing. United Blood Services is having a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, and from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16 in Susanville. This communitywide blood drive will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Richmond Road. You can schedule your appointment to donate by calling Renee or Diana at 310-4060. Walk-ins are welcome too.
SUMMER CRAFT SALE
Lassen Senior Services will be holding their annual Meals on Wheels fundraiser Summer Craft and Outdoor Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 12 at the Susanville Senior Center on Sunkist Drive. There will be lots of great treasures and vendors including Origami Owl, Karen Glaser Jewelry Creations and Jean Lawrence Sewing Creations just to name a few. Plus, while shopping you can enter their drawing to win a free gift basket donated by Joanie and Frankie’s Cupcakes.
It’s time to celebrate the 27th anniversary of Where’s Waldo. Margie’s Book Nook has partnered with more than 20 local businesses for a month long of Waldo fun. When you spot him in a local business, collect a passport and a store stamp or signature. When you collect at least 10 different stamps/signatures, bring them to Margie’s Book Nook, your Find Waldo Headquarters, to claim an “I found Waldo” sticker and discount specials. SUMMER FUN AT THE LIBRARY
Lassen Library has a put together the Paws to Read summer reading program. Designed for children in grades kindergarten through sixth, the programs consist of a presentation and supporting activity. Plus participants get age-appropriate reading lists and a Reading Challenge will be conducted. The reading programs are held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday mornings in July.
