Three Lassen County employee bargaining groups have accepted a 6 percent raise effective Jan. 1, 2007, with two other three percent salary increases on July 1, 2007 and July 1, 2008.

Chuck Anders, Westwood Community Services District manager, announced his retirement after working in the position for 32 years. He was appointed manager in 1974 and had oversight of the water and sewer systems, fire department, street lights and parks and recreation.
