Sickles Golf Associates, Inc. seeks city help

Oct. 24, 2006 — After an hour and a half discussion at the Wednesday, Oct. 18 Susanville City Council meeting, the council agreed Diamond Mountain Golf Course is important to Susanville but it will not bail out Sickles Golf Associates, Inc. that runs the golf course on city land.

SSD says it will appeal small claims ruling

Oct. 31, 2006 — The back-and-forth, up-and-down, 2-1/2-year battle between a Susanville landowner and the Susanville Sanitary District, the Lassen County Tax Assessors Office and the Susanville water department apparently will continue for at least another round — despite a ruling last week by a visiting superior court judge.

County Web site to include pictures of adoptable animals

Oct. 31, 2006 — The Lassen County Animal Shelter’s will soon display online pictures and descriptions of adoptable animals, as ordered by the Board of Supervisors.
