The ladies at the Gift Boutique tell us their open house was a huge success! Tricia Desutsch was the lucky winner of the body pampering products gift basket and Sharon Barnum received one of Mary Ellen’s Wine Lover’s Baskets with two etched wine goblets and raku fired wine bottle stopper from the shop. While the Gift Boutique is a new name, the ladies want to remind you that they still carry antiques, collectible and home décor.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Can't believe we are talking about the holidays, however they are right around the corner. We are busy at the Lassen County Times working on our annual Home for the Holidays publication. CUSTOM MADE JEWELRY

The ladies from Artistic Connections will be showcasing their custom made jewelry at Eagle Lake Village from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 25. Kathleen Markert and Lisa Courtemanche tell us everyone is welcome to go by and see their new pieces. BASKETBALL TIME

It's just about basketball time! Lassen Hoops will be having sign-ups beginning this Thursday night, Oct. 20, then again on Oct. 27, and on Nov. 2 and 9. New Image Racquetball & Fitness Center has a new Kid’s Dance Team instructor! Mary Loflin informs us Ashley Lively will be teaching Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Greek Tap. FILM PREMIERE

The Lassen County Arts Council in conjunction with Goreela Productions will be showing the premiere of the film “LOU” at Middleton Hall, at Lassen Community College. The premiere is from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 22. Former resident and screenwriter Dillon Brown encourages those interested in the film industry to come support the arts and meet the creative people behind this independent film.
