Sept. 5, 2006 — A Lassen County resident who stabbed a man in the neck with a beer bottle during an early afternoon party on March 6 will not go to prison for the offense.

Susanville teachers refuse to work before- and after-school

Test says boy does not have West Nile Virus

Sept. 5, 2006 — Initial test results show a 15-year-old Standish boy does not have West Nile Virus. However, Banner Lassen Medical Center reportedly asked for a second blood sample because the initial sample wasn’t adequate for a full test, according to the boy’s sister, Rita Luallen, of Standish. She said the first sample results were negative on a partial screening.
