Notice of Public Hearing
The City of Susanville Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing to consider approval, conditional approval, or disapproval to renew the Use Permit to allow The Rails Trails Festival and the Farmers Market. The project is located in the general shopping/commercial (C-2) zoning district located at 601 Richmond Road, APN 107-270-05. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 6:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers in City Hall located at 66 North Lassen Street, Susanville, California.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Rails to Trails Festival features live music, a chili cook off and food and craft venders. The Festival is hosted in the month of October. The Farmers Market consists of approximately 20 local farmers selling their food and crafts. The Farmers Market is hosted each Saturday during the months of June, July, August and September.
The public is invited to attend and provide written or verbal comments. Written comments to be included in the staff report must be received by the Thursday prior to the meeting.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
ADOPTION OF DEVELOPER FEES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Lassen Union High School District intends to conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the District’s Meeting & Training Center, located at 814 Cottage Street Susanville, California to consider input from the public and a resolution on the proposed adoption of developer fees on residential, commercial and industrial development. The fees are proposed to be levied at the K-12 rate of $3.20 per square foot for residential construction and $0.51 per square foot for commercial / industrial construction, and would be levied for the purpose of funding the construction and reconstruction of school facilities. The fees would be levied pursuant Section 65995 of the California Government Code.
The Developer Fee Justification Report, April 2012 for the proposed developer fees are on file in the office of the Superintendent, and are available for public review. Members of the public are invited to provide comment at the Public Hearing, or, in writing, which is received on or before April 6, 2012.
Any person challenging in court the decision made at the conclusion of the Public Hearing may be limited to raising only those issues raised at such hearing or in correspondence delivered to the school district prior to the close of such hearing.
