City Administrator appointed

Hancock

Jared G. Hancock

June 21, 2012  — According to a press release from the Susanville City Council, at its June 20 meeting announced out of closed session, the appointment of Jared G. Hancock to the position of City Administrator.

He succeeds this position from Robert Porfiri who has retired.

Hancock’s background includes an emphasis on economic development, land use planning, business administration and finance.

He joined the city of Susanville in 2010 as planning director, and his leadership and professionalism have earned the respect and support of his colleagues and peers in the business community. The press release said, “His positive attitude and initiative have been evidenced by his involvement with many community groups. His leadership, professionalism and dedication to the community have been an asset to the city.”

The city will honor Hancock’s appointment at a public swearing-in ceremony to be announced at a later date.
