State grant helps sheriff refurbish boating fleet

Oct. 31, 2006 — A $50,000 state grant will allow the Lassen County Sheriff’s Department to refurbish its boating fleet.

Oct. 31, 2006 — The back-and-forth, up-and-down, 2-1/2-year battle between a Susanville landowner and the Susanville Sanitary District, the Lassen County Tax Assessors Office and the Susanville water department apparently will continue for at least another round — despite a ruling last week by a visiting superior court judge.
